A Square Hermès silk “Lettres de Erevan” for the 25th anniversary of SFPA

On September 1, to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the charity association Protestant-France-Armenia Solidarity (SFPA), Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director of Hermès, presented to the Petrossian restaurant the new square Hermès silk on the topic of the Armenian alphabet Lettres de Erevan. French-Armenian journalist from Paris Jean Eckian informs about this.

Designed by Karen Pétrossian, this scarf honors Mesrop Matchots, creator of the Armenian alphabet.

The proceeds from the sale of this exclusive creation, limited edition, is wholly devoted to the benefit of humanitarian and cultural activities of SFPA in Armenia.

Janik Manissian, President of SFPA, warmly thanked Hermès and designer Karen Petrossian for the realization of this unique artistic work that will contribute to “support an ever more urgent and essential humanitarian action.”

Many personalities and representatives of the French press attended the presentation, including Ambassador to France Vigen Tchitetchian, NKR representative Hovhannes Guevorguian Bishop Norvan Zakarian, Valerie Toranian, managing editor of Elle magazine, etc.

SFPA was founded in April 1990, following the earthquake that befell Armenia December 7, 1988.
