Poroshenko and Merkel had phone conversation

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko continued phone consultations with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. Official web-site of the Ukrainian President writes about this. 

According to the source, Petro Poroshenko informed Angela Merkel on worsening of the situation in the Donbas. The parties also discussed the decision of the President to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada. The interlocutors agreed that it is a step towards aspirations of the Ukrainian society and strengthening of democratic institutes of Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko and Angela Merkel also exchanged opinions on the ways of peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas on the eve of the meeting in Minsk in the format Ukraine-EU-“Eurasian trio” and coordinated further actions on continuation of the international dialogue.
