Turkish new Prime Minister is announced

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Thursday in Ankara that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davuroglu will become the new prime minister. Turkish media writes about this.

According to the source, Davutoglu was also appointed interim head of Turkish Justice and Development Party (AKP).

According to TRT Haber his candidacy must be approved by Aug. 27 at the ruling party’s extraordinary congress.

Earlier it was reported that a decision will be made on the prime minister’s appointment on Aug. 21.

Presidential election was held in Turkey on Aug. 10 and Erdogan won it.
