Armenian Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan hosted a delegation headed by President of the National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojković.

According to him despite centuries-old Armenian-Serbian relations, Armenia is surprised at the support the Serbian delegation to PACE showed to the two anti-Armenian resolutions, which runs counter to the spirit of friendly relations as well as to Serbia’s official position on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

Speaking of regional problems, Mr Sahakyan said that the Nagorno-Karabakh problem is one of the main issues of Armenia’s foreign policy.

“Despite Azerbaijan’s consistent efforts to derail a settlement of the conflict, we will remain committed to our position to a negotiated settlement, without succumbing to the opposite side’s provocations,” Mr Sahakyan said.
